Q:

My charity hopes to host a 5k charity fun run in Discovery Bay on Oct 28 (Saturday). We need a $20M general liability insurance policy to cover the event and some of the event space used (a football pitch). We are looking for a quote.

A:

CCW Global can provide a number of event insurance options which offer comprehensive public liability and general liability protection. This is in addition to the extensive cover included for insurance benefits like cancellation, entrusted property, and forced loss of audience.

Event insurance plans in Hong Kong will normally start with a public liability limit of HK$ 10 million, but can be increased from there. In order to provide a Hong Kong event insurance quotation we would need to know the following information:

  • The total number of participants in the fun run
  • The total number of spectators expected on the day
  • The number of staff involved in setting up, operations, and tear-down
  • The exact course of the fun run
  • Whether any inflatable halls or tents will be used in conjunction with the event
  • Whether any pyrotechnics will be used in conjunction with the event
  • Whether personal accident insurance is required for participants / spectators

Hong Kong Event Insurance plans are also able to include non-appearance cover should you have any special guests whose failure to appear will impact the overall production of your event.
